(Filed Under wholesale Dancewear News). Blue Orchid Exoticwear recently launched their Spring 2009 dancewear collection, running at wholesale prices of $9-$43 in one-size (fits sizes 2-8). New styles include several rompers, short sets, skirt sets, hoodies, dresses, and gowns. Prominent throughout are animal prints, and neon, glittery, slinky, metallic, and solid-colored Lycra fabrics. The company's owner, Penny Dombrowski, commented: "We take pride in our high quality fabrics, and the durability and fit of our cutting-edge fashions."
She added that their best-selling styles are their short sets and hoodies, to which they are constantly adding new "trendy" styles for the fashion-conscious dancer. Wholesale prices range from $9-$42, and clients can order the styles through their website.
Currently, the company is working on a line of swimwear for 2010. Penny described the suits as "sexier and skimpier than traditional swimwear, since there is definitely a demand for this."
Although sales at the company were down significantly during the 4th quarter of 2008, business picked up in mid-January and is "nearly back to normal" according to Dombrowski. She described excellent customer service and good quality as the best recession-defense. Blue Orchid also ran many specials and close-out sales during their sales slump.
