Cano began by agreeing with the commonly held belief that members of “the U.S. population in general, both male and female, are getting bigger. We feel this is due to a variety of reasons; poor diets, increase in fast food options, stress from work or lack of work, decrease in exercise and time to exercise, etc. As a company in the lingerie business, it is important for us to notice these changes in body types and sizes and develop our collections in a way which accommodates women (and men) of all sizes.”

According to Cano, because plus is so important to the brand, “With all of our advertising and marketing, we make a strong effort to appeal to the plus size market and provide information that will help them make a decision of the best shaper for them....Julie France is committed to providing the ideal shapewear solutions for women of all sizes, especially plus size. We will continue to expand our plus size options and adding new styles ideal for plus size body types.”
