According to the company announcement, “40,000 voters turned out online to cast their votes for their favorite under things, including underwear, bras, undershirts and shapewear.” Tomima Edmark, founder of the web stores, declared of the event, “Our online stores are all about finding the right fit, fabric and feel for every body type, and the Undie Awards provide a great forum to showcase the most popular styles and products based on the opinions of those who have actually tried them on for size.” Consumers are directed to evaluate underwear based on design, fabric and fit.

According to Andra, the favorite full figure bra was the “Elomi Caitlyn Underwire Side Support Bra,” style 8030, and the favorite panty, Vanity Fair’s “Illumination Hi-Cut Brief”, style 13108. The favorite shape wear piece was Bali’s “Lace N’ Smooth Body Briefer,” style 8L10. Noted Andra, “This is the first time that a body briefer has won this category; the built-in bra gives women the luxury of not having to layer" several garments.

In the men’s category, the web store reported the favorite woven boxer was the “Mansilk Silk Satin Boxer,” styls M333, while the favorite knit boxer was the “Calvin Klein ck one Microfiber Slim Fit Boxer,” style U8520. Calvin Klein also produces the favorite brief, the “Body Hip brief,” style U1703, and the favorite T-shirt, a V-neck that comes in a 3-pack, style U9072.
