(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Increased sales at Victoria’s Secret and La Senza stores helped lift Limited Brands, Inc. (now known as L Brands, Inc.), net sales to $737.0 million for the four weeks ended June 1, 2013, compared to net sales of $671.9 million for the four weeks ended May 26, 2012.
The company reported a comparable store sales increase, for all of its stores, of 3 percent for the four weeks ended June 1, 2013, compared to the four weeks ended June 2, 2012.
Comparable store sales at Victoria’s Secret were up 4% in May 2013 over May 2012, while year-to-date sales were up 3%. Comparable store sales for La Senza, the firm’s Canadian lingerie shops, were up 4%, and year-to-date up 4%. And sales at Victoria’s Secret Direct were up for May by 4%, but down year-to-date by 4%.
L Brands also operates Bath & Body Works and Henri Bendel stores.
