(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Dreamwear Inc., which has, for the past four years, been producing collections of XOXO intimates, daywear and sleepwear for the junior market, has now successfully launched XOXO Girl which is “geared toward the young girls/ tween market,” according to a company statement. “The collection is ultra-comfortable and features young, fresh styles that are made to mix-and-match.”
In the spring of 2009 BODY reported the debut of the licensed junior collection, which had a “soft launch” for Holiday 2009. The new XOXO Girl collection “includes on-trend details such as rhinestones, lace trim, foil screen prints, jacquard patterns and bows. The inspiration of the line is derived from bold bright colors and young fun graphics such as animal, word and Aztec prints, hearts and polka dots and classic rugby stripes,” according to the company.
Key silhouettes in the new line include bralettes with removable cups, racer back sport bras, bikinis and boy shorts and is already “available at select boutiques and specialty stores” with a retail price range of $16 to $20.
“The XOXO Girl collection has received such a positive response from retailers and consumers alike,” said Elliot Franco, president of Dreamwear. “It has filled a niche in the current girls/ tween market and we are sure sales will continue to increase for 2014.”
Dreamwear produces a wide variety of women’s and girls’ intimate apparel under a variety of licenses as well as company-owned and private label brands. Product categories include “junior, missy, plus, seamless, shapewear, fashion, dormwear and sleepwear,” and labels include Skinnygirl by Bethenny Frankel, Laura Ashley, Marilyn Monroe and Delta Burke.
