(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Maidenform Brands announced today the election of Foot Locker EVP and COO Richard Johnson to its board of directors. The lingerie maker said he will “serve as a member of the nominating and governance committee,” according to a company statement.

Johnson has been with Foot Locker for 16 years and has held a variety of posts including group president – retail stores, president and CEO of the Foot Locker divisions in the U.S., president and CEO of Foot Locker Europe, and president and CEO of Footlocker.com/East.

“We are delighted to welcome Dick to our board of directors,” said Maurice Reznik , Maidenform CEO. “Dick has demonstrated strong leadership at Foot Locker, Inc. and his broad operating and international experience will serve Maidenform well.”

It is not known at this time if the election has anything to do with the recent vacancy in the post of president at Maidenform (see recent story).
