(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Aerie, the lingerie division of American Eagle Outfitters, has hired costume designer Jenn Rogien to serve a six month stint as “Style and Fit Expert” to “participate in viral videos, store appearances and consumer fit sessions, as well as offer advice and tips for girls across the country.” Her credits include “HBO GIRLS costume designer and 2012 Style Awards “TV Costume Designer of the Year,” “ according to a statement by the retailer.
Aerie will also tomorrow begin its launch of “spring products like their Hidden Love fragrance and bra collection, as well as a swimwear assortment inspired by their four top bra frames: Emma (see photo), Brooke, Maddie and Juliet.”
“I’ve used Aerie as an intimates resource for years,” said Rogien. “Their intimates are always fresh, pretty and fit impeccably, and I love that Aerie is about real girls who are wearing fun undies as a part of their everyday wardrobe, to the point where it becomes a must-have accessory. Those intimates have helped me tell the stories of real girls, pretty girls and fun girls. When the opportunity to collaborate with Aerie came up, it was a perfect fit!”
As of January 2012 there were 158 stand-alone Aerie stores in North America.
