Nilit Ltd., a producer of nylon and micro fiber yarns, has named Zion Ginat as its new general manager, replacing Arie Gottlieb, who had served in the post for 13 years. Ginat most recently held the position of CEO at energy company Delek in Europe, and will officially start on January 1, 2013.

“I am eager to build on the considerable achievements of Arie and to work with all our partners and employees to continue to drive Nilit forward,” declared the new general manager. “Before me stands the challenge of maintaining Nilit’s leadership position in nylon fibers for the textile industry. I am confident we will overcome all obstacles to grow even stronger.”

Gottlieb worked at Nilit for 25 years in a variety of positions. “I am completing a challenging and fascinating period at Nilit,” he explained. “Together, we have made a long journey overcoming unprecedented global economic crises and significant changes in the textile and plastics industries. I have no doubt that despite the difficult market, Nilit is determined and ready to continue its growth.”

Michael Levi, Nilit’s praised the outgoing executive. “Arie’s thoughtful leadership inspired us all. Nilit is indebted to him. I would like to thank Arie for his contribution and look forward to his continued involvement in Nilit.”

According to a company statement, Nilit produces “nylon 6.6 and micro fiber yarns in a broad selection of dtex and filament counts, luster levels, and types of cross-sections,” adding that its products are “used for knitwear, woven wear and spandex covering applications for the production of fashionable and functional leg wear, body wear, intimate apparel and active wear.” Nilit is a privately owned company with headquarters in Israel with offices in Italy, the United States, Germany, France, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Suzhou, China.
