(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Delta Galil USA is acquiring the “trademarks of LittleMissMatched,” a company focused on girls, offering colorful and quirky collections of socks, accessories, clothing, shoes, bags, toys, bedding, home décor, furniture, cosmetics, dolls and bags. Some members of LittleMissMatched senior management are expected to join Delta as part of the deal.
“LittleMissMatched is one of the most innovative kids brands in the industry and a great addition to our growing branded portfolio,” declared Isaac Dabah, CEO of Delta Galil in a message posted on the company’s web site. “It is a perfect complement to our existing branded sock business and further strengthens our leadership position in kids intimates. We see significant synergies and opportunities to build on the solid foundation of the business and will be investing in the development, expansion and marketing of the brand to grow the concept further into apparel and other categories.”
“We are excited to be joining Delta Galil USA,” wrote Andrew Arguiarro, vice president of licensing and sales at LittleMissMatched, in the same company message. “Delta Galil has been a great partner to us and is highly regarded throughout the apparel industry for its spirit of innovation, attentiveness to customer needs, and extensive global design, sourcing and distribution capabilities.” Prior to the acquisition, Delta had in place a licensing agreement with LittleMissMatched to produce “girls’ loungewear, sleepwear and intimates to mid-tier, clubs and specialty channels of distribution.”
LittleMissMatched was founded in 2003 and prior to the deal sold through 12 of its own boutiques as well as other retail stores worldwide and on its own web site. It claims an “extensive network of licensees” in addition to Delta.
The U.S. division of Delta is a subsidiary of Delta Galil Industries, Ltd., a company listed on the Tel Aviv stock exchange. The firm produces a wide range of intimate apparel, underwear, active wear, loungewear and socks for women, men and children under a collection of company owned and licensed brands.
