(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). The Underfashion Club has announced the date of the 2013 Femmy Awards and named the recipients who will be honored for contributing to the growth of the intimate apparel industry.
Last year’s host, celebrity stylist and television personality Carson Kressley of “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” and “How to Look Good Naked,” will be returning to host the event at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013.
The Femmy Awards will be celebrating renowned designer Josie Natori as well as the Cosabella and Lenzing Fibers brands and shopping outlets Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom subsidiary HauteLook.com.
Additionally, the program will display featured looks from Fashion Institute of Technology students and three student designers will be selected to receive cash awards.
The Clinton Corners, N.Y.-based Underfashion Club Inc. is a charitable organization uses the proceeds from the Femmy Awards Gala to distribute scholarships and grants to students pursuing education related to the industry.
The 2012 Femmy Awards honored Victor Vega of Wacoal America Inc., Lisa Aquilino and Isaac Gindi of Century 21 Department Stores, Rick Medlin of Fruit of the Loom, Kenneth Wong of Top Form Brassiere Manufacturing Co. Ltd. and Jimmy Yeh of Penn Asia Co. Ltd.
