The men’s underwear (see next article for more on the swim collection) is offered in three separate collections. “From October 2012 to April 2013, bruno banani will be bringing new passion and joie de vivre into stores each month with various color-intensive ranges,” according to the firm.
The “Hot Stripes & Prints” underwear line offers “stripes in all shapes and sizes. Be it unassuming classic looks in tasteful brown tones or striking designs in vibrant color combinations,” this collection includes colors ranging from “black and muted brown, red and green variations right through to bright, luminous colors such as pink, blue and yellow.” Prints include “black and white dog-tooth checks or stylish square or linear variations.”
“Magnifico Brazil” is “extravagant underwear “with “fabulously unique designs” including “a provocative snake-skin look in an all-over print...set against uni-color styles in denim, saffron and brown,” with the bruno banani logo applique in brown imitation leather. There are also “semi-transparent mesh designs in black, turquoise and khaki, or the extravagant creations with an embossed, satin look, check print in black and red.”Other styles include “a collage of paradisal elements made up of tiny squares,” and “casual, large-scale graffiti prints in colorful blue/orange/red/green or grey/green with black, combined with a tasteful grey mélange.”
“Simpatico” combines elastane or lycra with “soft, high-quality materials such as polyamide, micro modal, cotton, viscose and Trevira polyester [to] ensure an optimum level of comfort. Marked by their enhanced elasticity and stability of shape, the designs offer perfect cuts and casual styles that exude a sheer sense of well-being. The collection’s repertoire encompasses hip- and long shorts, retro styles, sports slips and casual button shorts right through to sexy string and tanga designs. As a supplement, the underwear can also be individually combined with various shirt styles, such as V, sports or long shirts. All designer items are available in sizes 4-8.”
