(Filed Under wholesale Men's Underwear News). Colorado-based Baskit, a men’s underwear company, has announced the launch of a new eco-friendly collection, entitled “Pure,” featuring designs made from 100 percent organic cotton.
The organic cotton is grown using environmentally friendly farming processes, in environmentally appropriate areas, said the company. Baskit then processes the cotton using methods which comply with the EU Flower certification, one of the most recognized organic certifications in the industry.
“From start to finish, cotton to color dies to the box we ship it in, everything is environmentally friendly and EU Flower certified,” said Eric Schwers, CEO at the company.
Styles include jocks, bikini briefs, low-rise trunks and Baskit’s signature boxer. The body of the garment will come in white (bleached using oxygen instead of chemical bleaching process,) a natural beige color (the color of the cotton in its unprocessed state), and charcoal black. All designs are embellished with a green waistband and green hem.
The briefs are at a retail range of $21 to $24.99, which is a higher than the company’s other design collections, due to the cost of organic cottons. “We expect the price of high quality organic cottons we use to drop over the next few years as more companies embrace the true environmentally friendly nature of organic cotton,” said Schwers.
Beginning March 3rd, the collection will be available at select specialty stores and online retailers.
