(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Dana-co is about to launch, for spring 2012, a line of “full figure” bras and panties under the N Natori label. This is significant because it is the first time designer Josie Natori has provided foundations specifically designed for women in this category. Dana-co has had the Natori license for bras for nine years.
All aspects of the bras and panties have been “constructed to provide support for a fuller figure,” explained Dana-co president Zvi Ertel during an interview in his Madison Avenue showroom yesterday. There will be several bra styles and panties in the collection. The “Bare Support Bra” is expected to retail for $42; The “Sheer Luxe Bra” is expected to retail for about $50; and versions of the “Conceal Contour T-Shirt Bra” will retail for around $52 to $54. Two versions of the “Body Smooth” panties will retail for around $16. The bras will come in sizes 32 to 40, C to H.
The full figure line will first appear in April at Dillards and Lord and Taylor and on “selected websites,” including Natori.com, according to Ertel.
