(Filed Under Licensing News). Xcel Brands, Inc. announced the finalization of an exclusive agreement giving International Intimates, Inc. the license to develop, manufacture and distribute lingerie, shapewear and nightwear for the Isaac Mizrahi New York brand.

"We are very excited about our partnership with Isaac Mizrahi and his team at Xcel," stated René Rofé, president and C.E.O. of International Intimates. "I’m confident we will successfully interpret Isaac’s looks into meaningful and solution-driven collections of intimate apparel, sleepwear and shapewear." The collection will be available at retail in spring 2013.

Xcel Brands, Inc. acquired the Isaac Mizrahi New York brand in 2011, and Mizrahi serves as Xcel’s creative director. International Intimates, Inc. designs and markets intimate apparel for national brands, private labels and under its own F.I.T., sophie b. and René Rofé Lingerie brands.
