SugieWogie’s swimwear collection was designed with real women in mind — women who find it hard to remain confident bearing it all, from sizes 2 to 20.

Designer Shari Riehl recognized the need to look and feel good in swimwear, so she came up with SugieWogie SwimDresses, shaping swimwear styles that control a wide range of imperfections and trouble spots. The styles feature shorts that provide waist, hip and upper leg coverage, while the suit’s double lining creates a smooth, sleek silhouette in lieu of the super tight elastic band that can create an unsightly bulge where the suit ends. The SwimDresses are crafted from a soft, comfortable nylon/spandex blend with a concealing mesh skirt overlay.

"I believe all women should be able to celebrate rather than dread swimsuit season," said Riehl. "These are dresses you can feel good about wearing everywhere, whether it’s to the beach, the pool, out to dinner or dancing."

Four separate SwimDress styles — Marilyn Sighting, Cheers for Tiers, Splash Safari and Ruche Hour — are available in sizes S to L, with two coordinating cover-up styles and an oversized black bag rounding out the collection. SwimDresses wholesale for $128 to $140 with a suggested retail range of $272 to $298. Cover-ups wholesale for $43 with a recommended retail price of $92, while the bag’s price points come in at $73 wholesale and $155 suggested retail. Buyers must order a minimum of six pieces, which ship from the company’s Fall River, Mass. distribution center.

SugieWogie will be debuting at CURVExpo in February 2012. Not yet available in retail stores, SugieWogie is available for purchase at the company’s website, SugieWogie.com.
