(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Swiss luxury hosiery and legwear company Fogal has opened a new shop and showroom at 785 Madison Ave. in New York City.

The 2,100-square-foot space is primarily used to showcase and sell Fogal’s leggings, tights and pantyhose, but also includes new ready-to-wear items including knit sweaters and silk loungewear.

The company has announced plans to expand its business worldwide with more boutiques as well as shop-in-shops, including a projected number of 200 in-store locations by the end of 2012 and 100 freestanding retail stores by 2015. Fogal also aims to increase its ready-to-wear selection, eventually having the apparel sales make up 50 percent of the brand’s total revenue.

Styles by Fogal designed and manufactured in Europe. The company is based in Zurich, Switzerland.
