(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Calzedonia S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of lingerie, hosiery and beachwear, announced that it will expand its manufacturing capabilities with a new plant in northern Serbia.
The new facility will be a 19,400-square-foot plant in Subotica, Serbia that will cost approximately $26.8 million to build. The plant is slated to open by 2014 and will employ approximately 1,000 people to manufacture its Intimissimi brand. Calzedonia will also add another 400 jobs at its first Serbian facility, which opened in the city of Sombor in 2010 and cost approximately $22 million to open.
Calzedonia S.p.A. was founded in 1987 and is based in Dossobuono di Villafranca, a province near Verona, Italy.
