(Filed Under retail Lingerie News). Iowa-based department store chain Von Maur celebrated the opening of its newest location at the North Point Mall in Alpharetta, Georgia with several shapewear-centered events.

The store opened Saturday, Nov. 5 and featured a Spanx styling event in the lingerie and hosiery department as well as a personal appearance by former "Real Housewife of New York City" Jill Zarin, who promoted her shapewear line, Skweez Couture, offered in Von Maur stores. Von Maur carries several high-end brands of intimate apparel, shapewear and loungewear, including Anita, Wacoal, Fashion Forms, Natori and Shapeez.

This is Von Maur’s first location in Georgia. The family-owned retailer, established in 1872, has 25 additional locations in the Midwest.
