(Filed Under Fashion News). Alternative lifestyle clothing company Lip Service has unveiled Black Steam, a steampunk-inspired collection of apparel and accessories for fall/holiday 2011-2012.
Steampunk, a subculture based on Victorian-era steam power innovations and imagined technology, features unique accompanying fashion captured distinctly by Lip Service’s four Black Steam ranges. The first, Jardin Noir, features a Lolita dress, skirt and waist cincher printed with a black and gray flower pattern offset by ruffled trim. The Blacklist features men’s shirts, dress pants and waistcoats as well as dresses, cropped jackets, long coats and lace-up gloves for women. The Vicious Viper range features a men’s holster, women’s underbust and a unisex utility belt in a faux snakeskin leather. The Step in Time range features dresses, tees, jackets, socks, pants, skirts, kilts, camis and corsets in black and cream with sepia-toned, Victorian-inspired prints and antiqued embellishments.
Women’s styles range from XS to XXL, while men’s styles accommodate S to XXL. Black Steam products retail for $15 to $240 with a wholesale range of $5 to $110. Retailers are asked to order four pieces per style for their first order with Lip Service. Products ship from Los Angeles.
In addition to apparel and accessories, Lip Service is also known for producing costumes, hosiery, clubwear and fetishwear. Products are available at stores and online retailers across the United States, including Hot Topic and Punk.com.
