(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Saks Inc. has announced plans to close its Morrisville, N.C. OFF 5TH store by Jan. 1, 2012.

The 20,000-square-foot store was located in the Triangle Factory Outlets in Morrisville, serving the metropolitan Raleigh community. A more recent, 30,000-square-foot OFF 5TH location in Mebane, N.C. that opened in 2010 will serve as a replacement store for the area.

OFF 5TH stores offer designer and Saks Fifth Avenue label apparel and accessories at discount prices. Saks Inc. currently operates 60 OFF 5TH locations in 23 states.
