(Filed Under Event News). Rhonda Shear designed a giant flying device shaped like her signature Ahh Bra for the annual Red Bull Flugtag event, in which competitors test out creatively shaped, handmade, human-powered flying machines.
The bra, which Shear Enterprises estimated to be a size 360ZZZ, lifted off at the Flugtag on Oct. 8 in Tampa, Fla. Shear sponsored the event in partnership with breast cancer awareness advocate Dusty Showers and her new charity The 2nd Baseman.
"I have been touched by the disease with immediate family and friends and thousands of my customers," said Shear. "Dusty Showers was a perfect match for the team, as The 2nd Baseman is a newly launched charity group aiming to help women and families struggling with breast cancer."
Shear stated that she hoped the flying Ahh Bra — colored pink in honor of the fight against breast cancer — would raise awareness and discussion of the disease and support for The 2nd Baseman and other worthy organizations.
St. Peterburg, Fla.-based Shear Enterprises LLC manufactures the Ahh Bra and five additional Rhonda Shear Intimates collections, which are available over 30 countries worldwide.
