(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). The Warnaco Group, owner of the Body Nancy Ganz brand, has agreed to a licensing deal with Spirite Industries Inc. to bring the shapewear label back to the U.S. and Canadian markets for spring 2012.
The license includes the main Body Nancy Ganz shapewear line as well as Nancy Ganz, a bra line, and Bodyslimmers by Nancy Ganz, which may be presented as an exclusive store label. While the brand is currently inactive in the United States, Warnaco sold the rights to the labels to Gazal Group Ltd. for the New Zealand and Australian markets earlier this year, where the products have shown to be strong sellers. According to industry estimates, the three-label brand could generate up to $5 million in revenue for the first full year it is available in the North American market.
The Warnaco Group, Inc. is a global intimate apparel, swimwear and sportswear company that owns and licenses brands including Speedos, Warner’s and Olga. Englewood, N.J.-based Spirite Industries Inc. specializes in worldwide manufacturing partnerships with intimate apparel companies.
