Agent Provocateur Profits Up 30%

(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). British lingerie company Agent Provocateur posted a 30 percent rise in full-year profit, led by international expansion and an increased number of online sales.

The retailer’s pre-tax profit came to £3.3 million, or approximately $5.1 million — a dramatic upswing for the company compared with its posted loss of £1.8 million, or $2.8 million, just last year.

Sales rose 8 percent to £26.7 million, or approximately $41.3 million.

Agent Provocateur currently operates 53 boutiques in Europe, North America and Asia. The company is planning to open additional locations in Barcelona, Spain and Milan and Florence in Italy.
