(Filed Under retail Lingerie News). U.K. lingerie and adult novelty retailer Ann Summers has announced the search for a woman to model its spring/summer 2012 lingerie collection.

In partnership with U.K. entertainment television channel ITV2, Ann Summers’ model campaign will be actively looking for entrants at top shopping destinations in Birmingham, London, Manchester and Essex. Women interested in applying can also enter through Ann Summers’ official Facebook page, iPhone app or the website SexyUncovered.com. Applicants must send in photos, a short video, 100 words about themselves, 100 words about the definition of "sexy" and 100 words about why they would make the best new lingerie model. Finalists will appear on a commercial that will be broadcast on ITV2 and the public will have the opportunity to vote for the winner.

"This is our first ever TV campaign and I am positive that our customers — both old and new — will be enticed into our stores and online to see our fabulous new products as a result," stated Ann Summers C.E.O. Jacqueline Gold. "Out customers embody everything that Ann Summers stands for. I can’t wait to see them strut their stuff and show us all what sexy really is."

Ann Summers operates 150 stores throughout the U.K. and Spain.
