(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Bed of Roses, a women's lingerie brand produced by New York-based Main Street Loungewear Inc, is announcing several new launches and additions to its lines for 2009.
In addition to launching a new panty and bra line called Just Sexy geared toward the junior market, the company is also launching a new sexy bridal line, introducing new boxed packaging for its products (something the company has not done prior) and it is also breaking into the loungewear/comfortwear market.
The new junior line has a retail range of $5 to $10 for panties and bras. This line will begin shipping mid-February.
For the sexy bridal line, the company has picked designs based on their Valentine's and holiday winners. This is the first time Bed of Roses will offer a bridal collection. The entire line will be available in only white and will begin shipping mid-April. Black and pink will be added for a later ship date.
Price points for the sexy bridal are $14.99 to $24.99 retail and Steve Dworkin, executive sales representative at Bed of Roses, hopes to sell to specialty boutique stores as well as department stores due to its "moderate" pricing.
In addition, the company is going to be bringing in new boxes to package its goods. "We've had some interest from people asking us about it," said Dworkin.
Lastly, the company is launching a new line of comfortwear that they are marketing as multi-purpose wear. The line is comprised of camisoles, T-shirts, hoodies with and without zippers, long and short pants. Styles will be offered in both solids and prints. "We've never done this before," said Dworkin. "We've done knit sleepwear, but this is something that will be done in 100 percent cotton. A woman can wear it all day long, even outside. Cotton/poly fabrics is more for sleepwear, but if you do cotton it becomes multi-purpose comfortwear."
Price points for the comfortwear collection have not yet been set, but Dworkin cites the prices will be "very reasonable" like the rest of the company's products.
In additional news, the company will also be launching matching bras and panties to accompany its line of sexy babydolls.see more
