(Filed Under wholesale Sleepwear News). After launching with approximately 14 classic camisole/short sets and chemises for spring/summer 2011, Ombrato has introduced 20 styles for fall with the addition of soft bras and robes for the season.
Masako Shirokawa, founder of the New York City-based sleepwear company, added the new silhouettes after speaking to retailers and observing current trends. “I realized I needed to widen my offerings, and I think that silk soft bras and bralettes are getting really big in the stores,” she said.
In bras, Ombrato has introduced two stretch silk styles wholesaling for $37 and $41, respectively, and available in sizes XS through L. Flannel robes wholesale from $58 to $64, while the silk robe run at $110. Chemises run from $75 to $87, silk camis start at $63 and shorts start at $31, and are available in sizes XS through XL.
Since launching, Shirowaka has noticed boutiques that stock a variety of independent designers are interested in Ombrato, as well as those who prefer the brands “classic, uncluttered” aesthetic to a more trendy or frilly look. These retailers include Lille Boutique in Portland, Ore. and A Finer Fit in Greenville, S.C., among others.
