(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). After signing a domestic licensing agreement for socks with Basic Resources last month, Phillips-Van Heusen Corporation has licensed its IZOD Brand to Weihai Dishang Fashion Brands Co. for Greater China.
Through the agreement, Weihai Dishang, a subsidiary of China’s Dishang Group, will market men and women’s IZOD swimwear, shapewear, casual footwear and other lifestyle products throughout China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macao. The agreement states that it anticipates Dishang establishing more than 1,000 points of sale in the licensed territory during the initial five-year term, including shop-in-shops and at least 500 stores.
The licensed rights include all IZOD sub brands, including IZOD PFX and IZOD Golf. Phillips-Van Heusen owns and markets Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, as well as its own brands.
