(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). For 2011, Leonisa has extended its selection of swimwear for the U.S. market by launching a 38 page catalog dedicated to the category.
“Every year, we launch swimwear in 12 countries around the world,” said Octavio Quintana, vice president of Leonisa USA, which also makes lingerie, shapewear, men’s underwear and more. “This particular catalog is geared specifically toward the U.S. specialty boutique market.”
In addition to push-up bikini styles, Leonisa brings its shapewear capabilities to the line with styles that offer compression. The Firm Tummy Control One-Piece Bathing Suit, for example, offers belly control, hip coverage, adjustable straps, underwire cups and a figure flattering ruffle accent. It is available in shades of black and purple.
Overall, the swimwear line retails from $50 to $100. According to Quintana, it targets 20 to 40-year-old women from a middle to upper class background.
Leonisa’s website (Leonisa.com) calls it the number one lingerie brand in Latin America and the United States Hispanic market. ClassicShapewear.com and other intimate apparel e-tailers and brick and mortar retailers carry the brand.
