(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Gerbe has collaborated with French designer Gaspard Yurkievich on a hosiery collection that will be introduced at next month’s Paris Fashion Week.
The collection includes 10 tights, stockings and over-the-knee socks constructed from tulle, voile, wool and other fabrics for the fall/winter 2011-2012 season. Gerbe described designs as reflecting its elegance in combination with Yurkievich’s creative and trendy style. Styles will be offered in shiny black and gold, as well as bold shades.
According to Yurkievich, the hosiery corresponds well with his clothing and shoe collections. “I wanted this collection to reflect the urban and glamorous spirit of the brand,” he said. “The collection spirit mirrors the timeless classicism of femininity and seduction as well as the graphic and modern character that corresponds with the women of today. Thanks to our collaboration with Gerbe, I am proud to launch a complete collection, which is in absolute harmony with my creative work. For me, this collection reflects the perfect fusion of an institutional French brand and the Parisian spirit of our Maison.”
Stéphane Gerbe founded Gerbe in Paris in 1904.
