(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). The Notre Dame Cathedral, metro entrances and the city’s skyline are just a few of the Parisian architectural fixtures that inspired Elle Macpherson’s autumn/winter 2011 collection.
Other Paris themes range from flower markets to the burlesque dancers of the Moulin Rouge. Macpherson, creative director of Elle Macpherson Intimates (EMI), also drew inspiration from the season’s ready-to-wear trends, including florals on a dark background and vintage styling.
What this inspiration results in, the company said, are vibrantly colored, fashion-forward looks that do not sacrifice fit or comfort. “Each season I push myself. It’s about having more and more courage to explore color and design,” Macpherson said.
The line retails from $22 to $35 for panties, $45 to $68 for bras and $78 to $98 for afterwear. Standard sizes run from 32 to 36, A through DD, while the EMI D-G range runs from 32 to 38, D through G. The line encompasses 12 lingerie ranges with names like Parisienne Poppy, My Black Beret, Long, Long Ago and Burlesque Façade.
EMI is available in specialty and department stores through United States, including Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Nordstrom and Intimacy. The brand is also available internationally.
Bendon Ltd. is the exclusive licensee of EMI.
