(Filed Under Event News). From December 6 through 9, 2010, costume retailers got a jump-start on the 2011 Halloween season at the HIA’s International Halloween Show in New York City’s “Halloween Tower” (1115 Broadway at 25th Street).

As in past years, buyers from large costume chains made up the majority of shoppers, including those from Spencer’s Gifts; Spirit Halloween; Wal-Mart; Buy Seasons; Ricky’s NYC; Halloween Adventure; and Gothic Rennaissance, among others.

They perused the latest sexy costumes by specialists like Rubie’s Costume Company; Charades; Leg Avenue; Dreamgirl; Seven ‘til Midnight; Music Legs; and Disguise, as well as some who are relatively new to this market.
