(Filed Under Textiles News). Italy-based Piave Maitex, a textile manufacturer, has introduced new plain and printed fabrics for swimwear and beachwear.
Four themes represent the company’s fashion trends: Reggae Night; Rock Happening; Lounge Café and Romantic Echoes.
Reggae Night is inspired by the idea of “far away lands,” said the company. This idea is represented through the spotted tribal-inspired print of the fabric. The theme is strongly dominated by violet, peacock, red and orange tones that are intense, deep, shaded and overlapping to represent tropical forest vegetation.
Rock Happening is comprised of simple motifs with a 70s overtone aiming at soft curves and avoiding sharp-edged lines. It is decorated with dots and oversized drops in a white and black pattern brightened by flares of foil.
Lounge Café lends to the summer season with its lively floral patterns and riot of colors.
Lastly, Romantic Echoes is designed with prints of petals and flowers with vibrant tones.
Although these fabrics are intended mainly for swimwear use, the company explains it is not limited to that single category and states it may also be used for everyday garments.
