(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Freya is bringing activewear to the pool next fall.
The full-bust brand’s activewear division, Freya Active, is introducing its first range of fitness swimwear for Fall/Winter 2011, consisting of a one-piece suit in sizes 30C through 40H, and a tankini with short in sizes 30C through 38H and XS through XL, respectively. They will retail from £15.50 for the short to £45 for the one-piece; equivalent to approximately $24 to $70 at the current exchange rate.
According to Eveden Inc., the British maker of the Freya brand, Active Swim styles are made with an innovative new fabric called Sensitive Life Soft, which is quick-drying and chlorine resistant. The company said that both styles have the same high-performance benefits as Freya’s Active Sports bra, including “a soft yet supportive inner cup made from rigid simplex ensuring optimum support but with built in comfort.”
Both styles are available in black with red and mocha and black with aqua and mocha.
Retailers carrying Freya in the United States include Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and specialty stores nationwide. Eveden Inc. also makes intimate apparel and swimwear under the Fantasie; Elomi; Goddess; Fauve; and Huit labels.
