(Filed Under wholesale Accessories News). Canada-based Soak is previewing its newest fabric fragrance at the Curve show in New York this February.
The fragrance, which has "heaven scent" as its tagline, is entitled Kismet.
The word kismet has many definitions, including destiny and fate and the company's thoughts were along those lines when creating the new name. "The name evolved from the tag line," said Jacqueline Sava, the company's owner. "Everyone who smelled the new fragrance described it as heavenly. Kismet evolved from searches related to destiny, heaven, fate, hope and will."
Sava explains Kismet was particularly hard to name in comparison to previous launches. Previous fragrances have had a bigger focus on one type of scent such as floral or citrus, therefore making it much easier to name, but now the company has graduated to creating more intricate and detailed fragrances.
Kismet has hints of Yuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit, and Cassis, a berry. "It's a really rich fragrance and it's beautiful, said Sava. "Everyone is asking when can they get their hands on it."
In additional news, the company has been able to strive in the depressed economy and has been able to reduce pricing on its mini soak collection from $0.85 to $0.55 wholesale and as a result, the company's introductory offer has also lowered in pricing making it more accessible for smaller stores.
Currently, Soak's products are carried at about 900 stores in North America with an addition of a new location in Dubai, which opened in October. The company will also be launching new locations in Japan and the U.K. this month.
