On November 12, Gap Inc. opened a 1,140-square-foot store in Shanghai’s Hong Kong Plaza; the retailer’s first location in China, followed by the opening of two stores in Beijing on November 15. Gap plans to open a second location in Shanghai over the next several weeks. It has also launched Gap.cn, an e-commerce website for Chinese consumers.
