(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Hanro is offering 1970’s shapes, loungewear that transitions into daywear, and even some lace lingerie next spring and summer, with inspiration from the 1920’s, ’40’s and ’80’s also weaved into the 12-collection line.
Wholesale prices overall range from $9 for the high-cut brief in the Everyday Cotton-New Basic collection to $103 for a robe in The Look collection.
New for the season is a full-lace underwire bra in the Luxury Moments collection with a matching boyleg, bikini and thong, marking a different direction for Hanro; a company known for its understated styling. The bra wholesales for $44.10 and is available in sizes 34 to 38, A through C, while the thong, bikini and boyleg run in sizes XS through L and wholesale from $20.70 to $26.10. The collection is available in shades of white, nude, black and purple.
The company, which usually produces solids, tried its hand at prints in the Ladies’ Night collection, consisting of micromodal sleep gowns and a pajama set in a floral pattern. Wholesale prices run from $66.60 for a tank gown to $101.25 for the pajama set.
Other new directions include the 1940’s-inspired Kiss collection, consisting of French leavers lace-trimmed viscose silk lingerie, daywear and sleepwear, including a soft cup bra, camisole and tank top with matching bottoms, among other pieces.
The 1970’s inspiration is most visible in The Look collection, which Hanro called “a loungy separates look with highly fashionable appeal,” with a ”drapey” tank gown that could easily be worn as daywear, accompanied by a tank and cropped pant, robe, three-quarter sleeve gown and top. According to Janet Branch, national sales manager of Hanro USA, the company has upgraded its cotton mercerizing process, allowing it to make the softer, draping silhouettes seen in The Look.
Despite these new channels, the company did not lose sight of its classic appeal, with lace and embroidery trim and basics seen throughout the line. Everlasting Love celebrates the “classic-feminine Hanro look,” with Swiss Guipure embroidery-trimmed basic and sleepwear silhouettes.
The company also brought back Paper Touch, a collection of layering daywear in semi-transparent cotton that has grown into a bestseller since launching in spring 2010, according to Hanro.
The spring/summer 2011 line’s collections will ship on January 25, February 21, March 21 and April 25, 2011.
