(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Patrice Catanzaro, a French lingerie and sexy apparel designer, is hitting the U.S. market. His UK distributor Libertinesque will show his latest collection, called Crêpe: The Second, at this August's CurveNV. They will also show his Tome 6 collection.
Crêpe runs in sizes S through L and wholesales for 5 to 90 Euros, equivalent to approximately $6.70 to $120 at the current exchange rate. Tome 6 is available up to XXL. Both collections are constructed from Catanzaro's Laqué fabric, which the company described as “light
enough for you to feel almost naked, but has enough weight to fall and
fold like heavy silk.”
Libertinesque described Cantanzaro's aesthetic as “seriously sexy to
faintly fetish.” They commented: “although the European market is
still vibrant and growing, some of the attitudes toward seriously sexy clothes are still somewhat snobbish.” Clare Williamson of the company added: “We feel very strongly that every woman wants to look sexy, but more importantly, she wants to feel sexy, and should be proud, and allowed, to do so.”
In addition to other forms of dvertising and promoting, Libertinesque and Cataranzaro will also bring their fashion and dance shows to the U.S., which they claim have been “hugely successful” in London clubs.
Crêpe's 25 styles are mostly available in the two colorways of black and white. Signature styles include Selene, a matching top and long skirt; Ariane, a close fitting short lace dress; Metis, a short black lace dress with off the shoulder neckline and lace ruffles; and
Divine, black, elbow-length sleeves with frills at the wrist.
