Heather Thomson, creator and founder of shapewear company Yummie Tummie, has added tailored blazers, skirts and shorts to her ready-to-wear range as part of the spring 2011 collection. Yummie Tummie styles run in sizes XS through 3X, and retail for approximately $62 to $298.
In addition to these signature pieces, the company is re-introducing Thomson’s favorite pieces from past collections in new fabrications, including mesh and lace, as well as new colors like coral and lemon. In the Everyday Basics line, the company has added a wider variety of skin tone shades.
Overall, the spring 2011 collection evokes combines sophistication, femininity, relaxation and freshness. “We love the direction of this collection, it is fresh and energizing,” Thomson said. “Every woman no matter her shape or size will feel comfortable, confident and beautiful in this collection.”
According to the company’s website, Yummie Tummie is sold at over 2,000 U.S. and International retailers in the better department and specialty store market. These include Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s and Night & Day in Andover, MA.
