(Filed Under Wholesale Swimwear News). Curvy Kate is bringing its signature full-cup fit to the swimwear market. The British company, which launched with its lingerie line for larger busted women last July, is introducing its first swimwear line for Spring/Summer 2011. Styles will run in sizes 28 to 40, DD through J, at a retail range of £14 to £40; equivalent to approximately $20 to $59 at the current exchange rate.
According to Adriana Olszewska, product developer of Curvy Kate, the line fills a neglected niche in the swimwear market. “We believe that curvy women should feel as confident and fashionable on the beach as their smaller boobed friends,” she said. “Many of our customers complain of back aches and sore shoulders when wearing swimwear but we have created a product that should support the bust the same as a bra would, while still remaining comfortable to wear all day. One of the areas which has proved popular with the fit models is the ‘Stay Safe’ straps, added to stop moving and slipping. Also the long line tankini has extra length as many tankinis currently on the market were far too short when worn with a fuller bust.”
The collection encompasses mix and match tankinis and bikinis in pinks and aqua greens, with pattern and solid color options available.
Curvy Kate products are available in over 200 stores worldwide, including Simply Yours and Bravissimo.
