(Filed Under Financial and General Interest News). Limited Brands, Inc. has sold its remaining 25 percent stake in Limited Stores to investment firm Sun Capital Partners. In 2007, Limited Brands sold a 75 percent stake in Limited Stores to the firm.
Leslie H. Wexner, chairman and chief executive officer of Limited Brands, indicated that Limited Stores merchandise, consisting mainly of apparel and outerwear, no longer fit in with the Limited Brands concentration. “This sale supports our focus on intimate apparel, personal care and beauty products,” she said in a statement. “We wish our long-time partners at Limited Stores continued success…this transition further enables both teams to win.”
Limited Brands operates specialty stores under Victoria’s Secret; Pink; La Sensa; Bath & Body Works; C.O. Bigelow; White Barn Candle Co.; and Henri Bendel names.
