(Filed Under Fashion News). Mode City and Interfiliere will take place a few months earlier than usual in 2011. Driven by perceived changes in the market’s needs and evolution, Eurovet, the organizing company of the tradeshows, is moving next year’s fall show to Saturday, July 9 to Sunday, July 11, 2011. Traditionally, the company has held this addition of its show in September, followed by a second yearly edition in January.
Eurovet commented: ”By positioning the fair at the beginning of the season, Interfiliere and Mode City affirm their rightful place as international tradefair leaders, business accelerators and initiators of global trends. This change will also meet the needs of the exhibitors who for several years have suggested this shift.
“For the Mode City brands, the key dates of 9, 10 and 11 were carefully chosen by the industry itself to better correspond to the different buying calendars around the world and to take into consideration sectors, distribution networks and countries.”
In addition to moving Mode City to July, Eurovet will hold the first annual Cruise by Mode City in September 2011 to meet the needs of “the ‘trendy brands who wish to reach the ready-to-wear distribution networks at the Porte de Versailles, as well as their specific lingerie and beachwear distribution contacts.”
