(Filed Under wholesale Hosiery News). Cosabella is crossing into ready-to-wear with the launch of Cosabella Jeans, a line of denim-inspired leggings and tights. Styles retail for $61 to $75 and run in sizes S through L and S/M through M/L. They will be available May 15 at Neiman Marcus and through Cosabella’s e-commerce site.
The company emphasized that Cosabella Jeans are not jeggings, despite their appearance to the contrary. The Cosabella May 3 blog entry reads: “Jeggings are: Denim derived leggings made with stretch denim. They are heavier and are in fact jeans. Jeggings are heavier, take longer to dry, and can be more expensive if they are designer jeggings. [In contrast], Cosabella Jeans are: Leggins and tights derived faux jeans made simply by creating a denim look through different colored fibers and the printing of a jeans image/picture on the tight.”
The company is carrying two styles under Cosabella Jeans; Seamless Jeans, seamless leggings with Jeans-like details engineered in the weave, and Skinnies Jeans, Opaque stretch footless tights that are printed with a picture of washed denim.
