(Filed Under wholesale Accessories News). The six-month-old design company Lizette launched with a variety of accessories designed to spruce up the basic shoe.
The accessories, which are detachable and "resemble bracelets", can be twisted around the ankle or up the leg. They run at an average wholesale price of $10 and an average retail price of $20, and come in a variety of styles under the Wrap It Up, Foot Fetish, and Candy Wrapper series, including beads, chains, crystals, and leather. The company’s designer Deb Wright originally came up with the idea.
“When you wear a sandal or a high heel and it doesn't strap around the ankle it can slide,” the company’s project manager Ginger Labouchardiere said, “Deb came up with the idea for accessories to wear around any shoe and have an easy, different style every day.”
According to Labourdardiere, current worldwide retailers who carry the product include Hustler and Romantix stores. In addition to selling to the sexy apparel market, Labourdardiere said that they have also made inroads with motorcycle apparel stores and bridal shops. The company offers special services to retailers who decide to carry the products including demonstration DVDs and signs. They currently have seven styles listed as "to come" on their website, and Laboudardiere said that despite the poor economy Lizette has had a successful launch.
“It’s a very unique idea. There just isn’t a whole you can do to dress up your feet” Labordardiere said, “Plus it’s an affordable way to dress up your shoes, so instead of buying that new pair, you can just buy a whole bunch of our accessories and wear a different style every day. Since they come in little organza bags they are very easy to just throw in a purse."
Lizette is a new design company of shoe accessories with a corporate headquarters in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. For more information contact: (215) 698-0222.see more
