(Filed Under wholesale Shapewear News). It looks like Shapeez is remaining the only producer of anything quite like the Unbelievabra. According to the company, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued a U.S. patent for its three-year-old invention.
Consisting of an all-in-one bra, bodyshaper and camisole, the Unbelievabra is constructed from moisture wicking cool stretch nylon Lycra designed to smooth and slim the torso. This is combined with a molded underwire bra without bands or closures that “effectively and comfortably provides superior breast support.” According to Shapeez, this design creates a “second skin” effect of a sleek, slimming silhouette with no bra lines and back bulges.
The design is currently available in the original Unbelievabra style and the newer Shortee, both running in 36 size ranges fitting cups A through E. The original retails for $85, and the Shortee for $75. Both are available at select boutiques, Von Maur locations and mail order catalogs throughout North America.
“The granting of this patent underscores our commitment to maintaining a leadership position in the shapewear and intimates market,” said Staci Berner, president and chief executive officer of the company. “Shapeez continues to invest in innovation through our in-house design department, as we strive to be the brand of choice for women who demand comfort and support in the products they use for their active lifestyle.”
