Lolita Delves Into Sleepwear

A style from the debut collection.
A style from the debut collection.

(Filed Under wholesale Sleepwear News). A new player is coming to the sleepwear market. Lolita Healy, designer and chief executive officer of Designs By Lolita, a hand-painted drinkware company, is launching her first line of pajama sets and robes, featuring designs seen in her Love My Martini and Love My Wine glass lines. The Love My Pajama Party line will hit select Macy’s locations at the end of this month in sizes S through XL. Suggested retail prices are set at $45 for wrap-style robes and $50 for pajama sets.

Lolita’s debut collection in the category will encompass six pajama styles and three robe styles, in printed designs coined Flirt; Pink Giraffe; Zebra; Kind Of On A Diet; Multi-tini; and Shopoholic Too. Pajama tops are comprised of 95 percent cotton and 5 percent spandex, while bottoms are 60 percent cotton and 40 percent polybrushed interlock. Robes are made from 60 percent cotton and 40 percent polybrushed interlock.

Healy described the seemingly surprising twist of bringing her designs from cocktail hour to the bedroom as a natural progression for her company. “The thinking behind my new pajamas and robes was simple: take my most popular designs and make them wearable. My designs have always been about self-expression, and that’s what fashion is all about…even if it’s just around the house!”
