Le Dame Footwear, a producer of feminine styled footwear in men’s sizes, is partnering with Walk A Mile In Her Shoes, an international men’s march to stop sexual assault and gender violence organized by Venture Humanity, Inc, a nonprofit focused around violence prevention.

Through the partnership, Le Dame has developed a red four-inch pump coined the Natalie, which it is making available starting March 1st to walkers participating in Walk A Mile In Her Shoes events. In addition to offering Walk A Mile In Her Shoes participants the shoe at a discounted rate, Le Dame will also make the Natalie available to the general public at the retail price of $85 in men’s sizes 9 ½, 10 ½, and 11 through 14. The Walk A Mile In Her Shoes events take place worldwide, and feature men walking in women’s shoes to bring attention to domestic and gender violence issues.

Bernie J. Fatla, founder of Le Dame, commented about the partnership: “I am proud to be associated with Frank Baird [founder of Venture Humanity, Inc] and his organization in this worthy cause. We feel that domestic and gender violence are issues that everyone must be aware of. Because we serve a large number of cross dressing, transgendered and drag queen customers who have at times experienced violence, we need to be involved.”

A portion of all shoes sold for the walks will be donated to Venture Humanity, Inc. for the Walk A Mile In Her Shoes project. Le Dame will also co-sponsor the Madison, WI. walk this May 1st.

In other news, Le Dame styles will be featured on the Monday, March 29th episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” airing on Logo. Fatla remarked: “We are excited to partner with a show as entertaining and important as ’Drag Race.’
