(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). To complement a reported 200 percent growth in sales last year, Oh La La Cheri launched an expanded catalog for spring/summer 2010, which features 37 new lingerie styles compared to 15 last spring. In order to showcase the expanded line, the company shot catalog photos in a lavish Miami mansion.
“We wanted to make a big statement with the new catalog,” said Nicolas Attard, owner of the company. “There are a lot of bright, unusual colors in the collection, like midnight blue and deep green, because our customers are saying that the consumer today is seeking color and elements of surprise.”
Wholesale prices run at $6 for embellished panties and thongs, $10 for bras and $16 for babydolls, with sizes running from 32 to 42, B through DDD, and S through 3X. According to Attard, this collection also pushes Oh La La Cheri further into the special occasion lingerie realm.
“We come from a bra background, but [since 2007] we have been focusing on making special occasion, playful lingerie, including two-piece sets with babydolls, chemises, bustiers, skirtinis, garter belts and more,” Attard explained. “Our customers say ‘wow, this looks expensive,’ while it is really quite affordable. We also added some accessories, like fingerless gloves, to give styles a bedroom costume vibe.”
In other news, the company is unveiling its first boxed lingerie line at this April’s International Lingerie Show (ILS). Attard reported that the company is paying extra attention to the quality of the merchandise and designing an eye-catching box, while keeping the line at a competitive price for the boxed lingerie market. The company will announce its price at ILS.
