(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Claire Pettibone has introduced new lingerie collections under her Butterflies line for Valentine’s Day and Early Spring 2010. Seen are thongs; hipsters; tanks; camisoles; babydolls; and chemises made from light engraved fabrics retailing for $22 to $88 and available in sizes S through L.
According to designer Claire Pettibone, Butterflies is defined by its ethereal prints and vivid hues, making it unique in the intimate apparel market. “It’s almost like wearing a piece of art,” she remarked. “We perfected the fit first, and then created beautiful images that print continuously over the seams and lace trimmings in a patent-pending process.”
Included in the Valentine’s Day selection are the prints Victoriana, featuring pink and burnt orange florals; Love Letters, featuring poetry in red script against a pink background; and Kitten, featuring baby leopard print camouflaged behind shades of blue, pink and brown, among others.
Retailers carrying Butterflies include Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Fred Segal, as well as specialty boutiques. In addition to intimate apparel, Claire Pettibone is known for her vintage-inspired bridal gowns and veils. For further information, e-mail Butterflies@ClairePettibone.com.
