(Filed Under Textiles News). Organizers of the upcoming Interfilière show expect a slight increase over last year’s attendance of 11,066, but visitors should not expect the show to be up to its January 2008 numbers. Eurovet is projecting that this year’s show, which is scheduled to take place from January 23rd to 25th in Paris in conjunction with its Salon International de la Lingerie event, will see approximately 11,500 visitors; an increase of approximately 4 percent. In January 2008, 15,037 people attended the fabric show.
Organizers reported that among those visitors pre-registered for the show are Anita International; Felina GMBH; Victoria’s Secret; Esprit; Abercrombie & Fitch; Nordstrom; Etam Lingerie; Triumph International; and Van De Velde, among others.
According to Eurovet, 160 exhibitors will show at the event, which is the same as last year’s number. The highest percentage of exhibitors will come from France, followed in order by Italy; Austria; Germany; Taiwan; China; Spain; Switzerland; Hong Kong; and Japan. Exhibitors include Bischoff Group from Switzerland, Eurojersey from Italy, Noyon Dentelles from France and Willy Herman from Austria.
This year’s show will be organized into the following trend axes: loungerie, featuring loungewear and lingerie, men’s underwear and shapewear. Attendees will receive a document at the entrance of the show detailing each axes’ location and theme. Four trend themes will be spread across the central aisle of the show; the vintage Tenderness; the colorful, youth-inspired Antidote; the “natural and rich” loungewear-based Oasis; and Sublime, featuring “an explosion of extremes, rock chic and theatrical.” New this January will be an accessories focus.
