(Filed Under wholesale Lingerie News). Houman Salem, formally of Delicious Sexywear, will open a new chain of intimate apparel boutiques under Chelsea Manor, a subsidiary of his business Salem Holdings Company. The first store is slated to open this December in the Westfield Fashion Square in Sherman Oaks, California. This is through a recently signed agreement between Chelsea Manor and Westfield LLC.
“We are proud to be working with talented people at Westfield,” Salem commented. “They share our vision and excitement with the overall Chelsea Manor brand and concept.”
Chelsea Manor’s plan is to open five additional stores by the end of 2010 throughout southern California, with the strategic objective of opening 75 stores nationwide by 2013. In addition to offering its own collection of over 50 lingerie and intimate apparel styles, the stores will carry European-inspired brands such as Cosabella, La Perla, Sophie B and Biatta. The stores lay-out will include a modern/gothic interior design “combined with high-end customer service generally found only in small boutique stores.”
“By bringing the Chelsea Manor boutique-style retail concept to shopping malls, we are proud to say that we are the world’s first ‘Mainstream Boutique’,” commented Salem.
According to Salem, Westfield is the world’s largest operator of Malls, with retail properties throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand. Other stores in Westfield Fashion Square include Bloomingdale’s, Macy’s, Zara, bebe, Guess, Planet Funk, and True Religion.
Headquartered in Los Angeles, Calif., Salem Holdings Company owns and operates businesses in the fashion, apparel, and retail industries.
